So the next day we went to the doctors and happened to meet my mam there – we went with the story of why we were originally there to discuss our options in relation to the letter – when we went in St.John explained that we had come to discuss the letter but …I was actually pregnant!!! The Doctor looked at he letter and then made me to another test –
I was defiantly pregnant – apparently occasionally they get these things wrong – so people there is hope. Now we weren’t expecting this so it was a massive shock – granted we were doing nothing to stop it – but it wasn’t meant to happen. We were refereed to the midwife and managed to get our heads around this amazing news. Trying to keep it secret was a bit problematic as I generally felt crap.
In the mean time St.Johns brother announced they were expecting – due in April – we were once again given those pitying glances – would it ever happen for us – the only saving grace is nobody dared ask us - so we were sparred he questions of now your married are you having kids!! (if only they new!!)
Turns out I was due on the 18th Sept (Whoops GNR was on the 17th) – so the next three months went ok – we had our 12 week scan – I have never been so nervous – everything was ok – however we were advised (although the do this as standard now at the 12 week scan) to pay for an extra scan – which I would have at 14 weeks - to test for a range of disabilities – due to getting pregnant so quickly after the recommend time –In Sept/Oct time we were told to wait at least 3 months h before trying!!
We waited for this scan, which we had up at Newcastle RVI – and again told everything, was fine and we were extremely lucky. Now to tell people
