Seren Ternet (14) - will join Beefy on Wednesday 18 April in Cardiff
Seren was just 10 years old when she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Seren’s mum Tamar took her to their local GP after Seren started becoming tired, short of breath and bruising started to develop on her legs. She was sent to the Sky Ward at the Children’s Hospital of Wales in Cardiff where tests revealed she had leuakemia. Seren is now in remission having finished her treatment in July 2010.
Mum Tamar says: “Seren is doing really well and enjoying being back at school with her friends. She is really chuffed to be joining Sir Ian on his walk and she’s getting lots of kids from her school to sign up. I’m very proud of her and it’s great that she’s going to help raise awareness about this terrible disease.”
