Sunday 26 June saw the return of the Shifnal Half Marathon in support of Bloodwise.

Sunday 26 June saw the return of the Shifnal Half Marathon and organiser Gareth Morgan chose Bloodwise as this year's charity partner.

After having a few years break and due to popular demand, the race was brought back for 2016. A total of 150 runners took to the roads of Shropshire and ran through the towns of Shifnal, Kemberton, Beckbury and Ryton.

The race was a great success and overall raised £1,500.00 to help us beat blood cancer. The first man over the line was Martin Williams and the first woman was Claire Martin. Supporter and runner Adam Cawley also personally raised over £340.00 for Bloodwise, finishing in a time of 1 hour & 58 minutes.

Gareth Morgan has been a wonderful supporter of Bloodwise for many years now, having completed the London Marathon to beat blood cancer as well. Our sincere thanks and appreciation go out to Gareth, all the organising team and to everyone who took part. Together we will beat blood cancer.
