News reached us a few weeks ago that two of Team Nancy’s youngest members, sisters Nancy and Edith, had been captivated by the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research Harlem Shake and, in particular, the person they named “Mr Bucket head”.
Five-year-old Nancy was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) in November 2012, and is currently 10 months into her treatment. In support of her battle, family and friends created Team Nancy, a group of fundraisers from Coventry who have come together to raise an astonishing £34,628 (and counting) for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. You can read more about Team Nancy and their incredible fundraising drive here.
Nancy’s mum, Kerry, shared the LLR Harlem Shake on the Team Nancy page, saying:
“They ask several times a day if they can watch it and then dance around the kitchen, Edith say's 'It werry funny mummy'!”.
And so, after watching the LLR version (and the gold suited lead dancer) for inspiration, the Nancy and Edith Harlem Shake was born. I highly recommended you watch it several times – it will brighten your day.
