Overall, the awards evening was a great success. I thought that all the stories were very inspirational and it made me think about all the amazing things everyone has done. Being a volunteer at Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is a great pleasure and being able to help others makes it even better. So going to this awards evening was an important moment for me. This was the first of hopefully many that I will be attending but I was glad to be a part of it.
The main highlight for me was the awards being given out. This was an eye opener for me because being only 15 you do not realise what people are going through and what they are doing to help. So watching the awards made me more aware of what others do. Especially seeing Max Hill (9 Years old) who was one of the award winners made me think about how strong he has been and it was just all inspirational.
Furthermore, I think that this evening wouldn’t have been such a success if it wasn’t for the LLR staff. We have to remember without these guys none of this would’ve happened. So I think it is a great way to appreciate not just what the fundraisers have done but also to appreciate the hard work of the staff. They do such a fantastic job and are successful at doing so.
Finally, the evening was a fantastic one and one to remember.
Together we are definitely UNSTOPPABLE!
