Recently got back into mountain biking and doing around 7-12 miles a couple of times a week, I plan to step this up over the following weeks in order to be fit enough to do the 52 miles, today I completed a 18,5 mile ride and I plan to carry on adding distance to my rides over the next month and a half leading to the event

Good work Joe - sounds like you're stepping up the mileage at just the right point. How have you found getting back into it all? Hope you're not too sore today and wish you all the best with your next ride.
