BaseballSoftballUK (BSUK) is the development agency for baseball and softball in the United Kingdom. Going into their third year, their innovative partnership with our charity has proved to be lots of fun for our corporate partner Wickes and a great mechanism for fundraising!

John Boyd, BSUK's Joint CEO and Head of Development, said: "We are delighted to be working in partnership with Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and Wickes on this exciting development programme. We hope to create a memorable softball experience for the players and support in the planning and delivery of these corporate fundraising events. We see this type of corporate relationship as a model that will benefit all parties mutually and allow us to increase membership and links into the softball playing community."

For the past two years Wickes, our phenomenal corporate partner, has been supported by BSUK with equipment, training, field space and umpire officials for their South West Divisional Softball Tournament. Not only have 66 stores taken part in the tournament each year but overall they have raised an incredible £30,000 towards our vital research with softball themed fundraising.

“Learning to play softball has been great for my store” says Wickes Chippenham Store Manager Ross Webber. “Not only have we burned some calories together and had a lot of fun, we’ve learned to work together as a team and improve our communication skills. We were very excited to have made the Wickes Divisional Finals this year and my colleagues are already talking about playing again next year.”

If you are interested in working with Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and BSUK to hold your own softball training day, tournament or fundraiser please get in touch with our corporate team and we will be happy to help.
