The Young Farmers' year begins in September and comes to a close in July, the break allowing for harvest operations! During 2012/13, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research were nominated by the Chairman to be one of two charities of the year. Over the course of 2012/2013, the Young Farmers' raised £500 for the charity through a number of fundraising activities.

In October 2012, the club hosted its annual “A Night at the Races” themed race night with a raffle. Through December 2012, the club endorsed the annual Christmas Hamper Raffle Draw. All members contributed an item or two of something Christmassy whether food, drink or crackers, to build three hamper prizes.

March 2013 saw the return of the club’s enjoyable Dinner Dance, some very generous raffle prizes had been donated to this event. All guests bought raffle tickets and some of the larger prizes were auctioned to highest bidders. It was a very successful and enjoyable fundraising year, the cheque presentation was made on Tuesday 1st October 2013.

Well done to everyone at Terrington Young Farmers, and thank you to Spalding and Bourne Branch!
