Time to step up the training!

08 Apr 2015

Between 26/06/15 - 28/06/15 8 friends and I will ride 190 miles from Blackpool up to Kirby Stephen then to Ingleton and back to Blackpool for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.

It's just under 6 months since getting my bike after 25 years without one, the training has been going well but a day off work and some sunshine gave me the opportunity to really test myself! It was time to hit some local hills so Chris Ayres and I headed for Beacon Fell, having not really done any proper hills I was a bit daunted but dare I say it wasn't too bad! Anyway stats are in the image, training rides in the last few months have covered plenty of miles, Febuary - 200.3, March - 170.7 (Lots of people seemed to have dos at the weekends!), April - 109 with more to come!

We passed you on the way to Beacon Fell, you were coming back! I said I'm sure that was Taffy! Ha ha it was. Well done mate, the SMax wasn't keen on some of those hills!
