1st Week

Training

I decided to have a little jolly style ride after cycling to the dentist on Thursday since I had nothing else to do and the weather wasn't too bad.

After cycling from Fulham to Knightsbridge and around Hyde park I eventually headed to Central London and East.  After getting past the west end the miles going well, I pretty quickly got lost in North London and found to my horror I was near wood green and some pretty steep hills.

I managed to go around in a few circles and after thinking I could navigate myself around an unknown area of London I finally got out my MapMyRide app that was keeping track of my training and discovered a few loops and then the general direction of home. All the while I was listening to a fabulous playlist on my spotify account and was probably looked upon a little strange as I was dancing/bopping away and singing whilst cycling along (Playlist: Happy to be Home)

When I reached Central London after enjoying nice warm weather in the hills of North London I was greeted to wet humid weather and the inevitable loss of battery life on my phone. So not only had I lost my fab sound track but my training app could no longer tell me how males km I'd done.

In the end when I got home after about 2.5 hours I had done roughly 30 miles which is pretty good considering I had cycled for a few years and my activity levels beside work were non existent.... But one thing is for sure I cannot wait till I get paid so I can invest in some padded cycling shorts as my bottom is sooooo sore.......... :(
