Aug 31 Long ride

I did a long ride this past weekend where I finally bit the bullet and rode through the large bump midway in the 100 mile course, it was a few miles after Mickleton.  It was hard but not impossible.  I am planning to try it again this weekend so that I can get more training and hopefully be fitter to better tackle this bump during the charity ride.  In Strava, there is a segment (Mickleton - Broadway Tower) that covers this section and out of 287 people, I am 284th :).  So lots of room to move up.  The downhil part was not as easy or enjoyable because of the crosswinds.

I originally planned the ride to finish in Stratford upon Avon but thought of extending it out to Earlswood, unfortunately by the 60th mile I was struggling and opted to go to back to the original plan of finishing in Stratford.  Ultimatly recorded 75 miles in Strava for the long ride.

I have one more chance to do a long ride before I need to taper off for the charity ride, so hopefully I can do it this coming Sunday and extend the ride to 90 miles.
