I have now completed my first week of training.  I have discovered a good route which is roughly 3 miles long which I aim to complete 4 to 5 times a day, this along with the constant eating to try and put weight on has allowed to gain a clear idea on what my strenghts and weaknesses are, so next week I am going to focus more on steep uphills so there will be less long courses and more short term sprints.
