Week two started with a smack in the face. We over did it a little at a friends birthday celebration the night before we had planned to do the 28 miles along the Rae Valley route to Waseley. Both of us were feeling very sorry for ourselves as we set off at 9:30am. The ride was fairly slow pedal but we made it in time for a sausage sandwich at the cafe.
Both refuelled and feeling refreshed we set off down the route back into Brum. It's pretty much down hill all the way except Sir Harry's Road. I was determined to beat my record time up Sir Harry's Road and managed to shave 30 seconds off my usual time. Home for showers and a well deserved easy afternoon.
Tuesday's ride was traded for an evening of Badminton - I played 9 games and lost all of them, not the best evening but still good exercise. Thursday was the usual ride home from Solihull - 49 minutes door to door. Slower than last week but still under 50 minutes!! That'll do!
