The Patient Need Programme will help the charity to allocate the resources that we have to the activities that are most likely to deliver the maximum patient benefit in the short, medium and long term.
Our Patient Need programme:
What do blood cancer patients say they need? If they were asked the same question, what would researchers, clinicians, nurses and other experts tells us? What does national data show? What would bring the biggest impact for blood cancer patients?
Around 30,000 people are diagnosed with a blood cancer in the UK each year, each one is an individual who will have a unique experience throughout their treatment and beyond. Data and evidence about blood cancer exists, but there's currently no single comprehensive source which evidences the needs of patients.
This programme will change that: it's about putting patients at the heart of what we do.
