JWO are once again joining forces with Wickes on their most challenging cycle ride yet. The Trans Alp Challenge is a five day endurance ride starting in Munich, climbing over the mighty Brenner Pass and finally descending through the Italian Lakes into Venice. This testing ride is all in aid of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
Starting on the high plain of Southern Bavaria, the riders will cover around 130km a day over the Alps and into Northern Italy. They will traverse a range of terrain, pushing up the steep mountain inclines in the Alps to heights of 1320metres. To give you a taster of the challenge that lies ahead for the team, here's a video from 2010 of a group of riders cycling the Munich to Venice section of the trans-alp challenge:
Wickes, Richard Burnham and Stefan Heyman from JWO and Robin Scott and Robert Best. With the help of their companies, family and friends the 5 cyclists are hoping to raise over £20k for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
All the money raised will go towards vital research into better treatments and cures for blood cancers including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. You can support this fantastic cause and the team challenge by visiting their fundraising page or to donate £10 simply text JWOW58 to 70070.
