The newly reopened Winkworth office in Oxford is embarking on a special endeavour close to the hearts of its team members: for every completed sale, the branch will donate £100 to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.  This fundraising effort is ongoing and Winkworth are delighted to help this invaluable charity to continue its lifesaving efforts.

Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research funds scientific research into the causes and treatments of blood cancer.  Since it was established, its skilled team of researchers have made incredible advances in the study of these diseases, helping to develop more effective treatments to manage or cure blood cancer.  The organisation’s goal is to ensure all blood cancer patients are diagnosed early and accurately and are able to receive targeted treatments so that they can go on to “live full lives without the fear of relapse”.

The cause is close to the hearts of the Winkworth team, many of whom have had family and friends diagnosed with leukaemia or lymphoma.  Although the office only re-opened at the beginning of this year, the team was keen to get involved with Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research from the start and team members will be raising funds privately for the charity as well.

Glyn Buckley, Office Manager at Winkworth says, “We are so delighted to be involved with this great charity that is doing so much good.  Unfortunately, so many of us in the office have been personally affected by these horrible cancers so we want to ensure that no one has to suffer with these diseases.  This is not something we’re doing for a limited period or with a series of caveats.”
