The annual Wirral Bikeathon is now open for entries! This will be the 19th bikeathon for the Wirral & Merseyside Branch and the Branch would love to reach the £1 million mark by their 20th event in 2018! So please come along and take part with your friends and family on 11th June!
Chris Boardman, the Olympic Gold Medallist will also be in attendance and all those who take part in the ride this year are in with a chance to win a Boardman bike! The thanks of the Wirral Bikeathon go to Chris Boardman for kindly donating a Boardman Bike once again this year.
The Mayor of Wirral will start the Wirral Bikeathon which is a 14 or 28 mile ride around the Wirral and Arrowe Country Park, which is the start, mid-point and finish area. The terrain is on and off road following well designated roads and country paths. The event is suitable for all ages and disabilities using suitable equipment. Refreshments are available in the start area, Red Room Cafe provides hot food and riders and their families can enjoy live music which is provided by the Fairground organ, Peninsula Jazzmen and the Ukulele band.

Bikes and Boards (West Kirby), The Bike Shop (Moreton) and K-Cycles of Eastham continue to support the event by providing free bike repair services in the park and at Dovepoint on the prom in Meols on the day of the ride.
