Facing Blood Cancer Together

We’re here for everyone affected by blood cancer: whether it’s leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma or another blood disorder; whether you’re a patient, family, friend or carer; whether you’re worried about symptoms, in the middle of treatment or adjusting to life afterwards.

Symptoms and diagnosis: CML

If you’re diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML), there are some symptoms you might notice before your diagnosis. If a healthcare professional thinks you may have CML you’ll have a set of tests to confirm this, then some further tests to determine the right treatment for you.

It’s important that you understand your diagnosis – it might be a good idea to ask your consultant to write it down so you can use it if you’re looking for more information or support, or if you need to tell other people about it.

Our Support Line team are just a phone call or email away if you’d like to talk. They’re available Monday-Friday 10am-4pm on 0808 2080 888 or at support@bloodwise.org.uk.
