Make your Marathon effort count and help us to beat blood cancer

Run for Bloodwise and be part of our team raising funds for research into the third biggest cancer killer

The Virgin Money London Marathon is one of London’s sporting highlights of the year with 35,000 participants pounding the route around the city cheered on by huge crowds. When you do something as enormous as run a Marathon, you need a team behind you. That’s why you should run with Bloodwise. All along the way, from the Cutty Sark to the finish in front of Buckingham Palace, we’ll have volunteers on hand to provide refreshments, and of course we’ll be at the finish line to help you recover.

Why you’re going to join Team Bloodwise

  • Get your hands on a high spec personalised running top
  • Access to professional training days from RG Active, one of the UK’s leading sports coaching companies. You’ll be thinking you can take on Mo Farah when you’ve done these
  • Full training plans for all ability levels to help you deliver your personal best
  • Fundraising support so good you’ll need to turn off your JustGiving alerts
  • Fantastic support from our cheer squads to get you round, over or under the wall and across the finish line
  • A post-race reception to give you a chance to rest your weary bones, grab some refreshments, and relax with a sports massage

We’ve had a record-breaking number of people interested in running the marathon with us this year, so applications for our charity places are now officially closed. If you’ve managed to secure a place through the official Virgin Money London Marathon ballot, congratulations! We’d love you to run with us to help beat blood cancer. Just fill in this form to join our unstoppable team.

Why your help matters

  • Blood cancer is the third biggest cancer killer and it’s growing – it takes more lives every year than prostate or breast cancer
  • Blood cancer doesn’t discriminate – it can affect people of any age, gender or race, and it’s the most common cancer in children and young adults
  • Bloodwise has funded 4 out of 5 blood cancer researchers, and we’ve made great progress with many major cancer medicine advances coming first from blood cancer research. But there is much more for us to do – so join our team and help beat blood cancer.
