In 2007 Tricia and I lost our brother Will to Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Therefore we as a family are fully committed to the vision at Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research (LLR) to beat blood cancers. As our parents run the South Cheshire Branch for LLR.
We want no other family to go through what we have experienced, losing a much loved brother to this terrible disease.
Celebration of memories for my Brother’s 30th Birthday!
This year we planned to celebrate what would have been our brother’s 30th birthday by completing the biggest challenge that I have ever done and my sister organised a fundraising party. The event took place on Saturday 19 July 2014, Will’s actually birthday. Our brother loved a party and he would have definitely celebrated his 30th, so we celebrated it in memory of him and at the same time we re-lived those amazing happy memories we had together.
So 19 July 2014 I ran 30k for 30 years to celebrate his birthday. I started from Nantwich swimming baths and ran passed where he played football with the young farmers, his high school, Wrenbury football club to remember his ‘lads & dads days’, his primary school and finished at home where we grew up together.
My best mate, Kate, accompanied me for the first 10k, Frank, Andy and Simon joined me at the 10k where Kate finished. My sister and my cousin joined me at the 20k mark. It was an amazing special day remembering Will.
In the evening Tricia organised with the help of South Cheshire Branch a party at Audlem Village Hall to round of the celebrations of Will’s 30th birthday. It was lovely to see so many of Will's friends. Thank you so much for coming.
Our main aim was to raise vital funds for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research during this day. It is incredible that we have achieved our target of £3000! Thank you so much for all your kind donations. Your donation will go a long way to help those with a blood cancer.
Thank you so much for donating on our page and helping us raise money to beat blood cancer in memory of our Brother's 30th Birthday! The money you donated will make a lasting difference to the lives of people living with blood cancers. Thank you so much! Best Wishes, Emma & Tricia (a.k.a Boff's sisters!)
