Give a gift in memory of Mikuś
Karl Michael Lindemann - 18 March 1966 - 4 December 2018
The eldest of three children, Mikuś was born in Hamburg to Polish and German parents before moving to Estoril, Portugal, via Dulverton on Exmoor, with his family at the age of eight.
Mikuś spent most of his educational years in England, starting at Ampleforth College. Followed by a short stint as a Second Lieutenant in the 13/18th Royal Hussars, he finished his studies with a Law Degree from Bristol University.
Fluent in six languages, Mikuś was an accomplished journalist in his formative years. His career began in the early ‘90s whilst living in Warsaw, Poland. After a tenure with AFP (Agence France Presse) and UPI (United Press International) in Vienna, Austria, he became a correspondent for the Financial Times in Bonn, Germany. After returning to London in the late ‘90s, he embarked on a financial career as a banker at ABN AMRO Rothschild, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, UBS Private Banking, Barclays Private Banking and Julius Baer before becoming a partner at Tellsons Investors LLP.
He leaves behind two daughters - 14-year-old Cara Lindemann and 12-year-old Ines Lindemann - as well as a brother, Stefan Lindemann and a sister, Mariella Metcalfe, in addition to an inordinate amount of loving friends from the four corners of the world who surrounded him consistently in his short lived fight against acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
