Frequently asked questions about the Caderman Triathlon
Bloodwise is subject to UK law and the Data Protection Act 1998. They also make it their responsibility to ensure that all data from participants including names, addresses and personal information such as credit card information is managed responsibly. By signing up to this event you have given permission to Bloodwise to contact you regarding this event. Credit card or financial information will be destroyed once payment has been taken. If participants are paying online, payment will be managed through the secure Sagepay site. If you are concerned about us holding your information or how it might be used please contact us at email@example.com.
Participants who have opted for the sponsorship option must commit to raising a minimum amount of sponsorship money (£175 standard distance & £225 extreme distance). This can be paid to Bloodwise at any point prior to the event, (preferably at least one week before) but must be received no later than eight weeks after day of the event.
All funds raised in the name of Bloodwise must be paid to Bloodwise as soon as is practical, but no later than eight weeks after the last day of the event (see point 2 above).

Participants agree that their entry fee does not contribute towards their sponsorship target.
Participants must be at least 18 at the commencement of the event to be eligible to take part.
Should participants not be able to take up their place at the triathlon, all donations or sponsorship already paid to Bloodwise can only be refunded directly to the donor on receipt from them of a written request (letter or email). The entry fee is completely non-refundable.
All participants take part at their own risk. Bloodwise is unable to accept liability for any injury or death, loss or damage however arising, or for cancellation of the event for any reason outside of its control. Bloodwise reserves the right to change the swim section in the event that the sea is deemed too dangerous to swim in – this will be decided on the morning by the safety stewards and an alternative activity will be arranged. Bloodwise also reserves the right to cancel the mountain climb section if our safety marshals feel that the conditions are dangerous.
All participants must have all essential safety kit in order to take part. This includes:
- Swim cap (provided)
- Water bottle (bike)
- Suitable footwear
- Puncture repair capability
- Lightweight Jacket (for summit descent)
- Sun cream
Bloodwise reserves the right to use any photography or videos taken of participants on behalf of the Charity to raise awareness or and / or funds for Bloodwise.
