Great Scottish Run
Run the Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run for Bloodwise and help beat blood cancer
The Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run is a weekend of running events held in central Glasgow. Runners can opt for a 10k or a half marathon while a number of shorter races cater for juniors and families.
10k and half marathon
The 10k and half marathon take place on Sunday 30 September. Both routes begin in George Square in the city centre. Runners will then cross over the River Clyde, run through Pollok Park and Bellahouston Park ahdn then head back for the grandstand finish on Glasgow Green.
Junior and family races
The junior and family races are held on Saturday 29 September. Young runners can take part in a toddler dash (up to age 5), junior 2.5k (ages 9 to 15) or join their family members for the family mile (children must be aged 3-8).
How to register for the Great Scottish Run
The prices for each race are:
- 10km: £28
- Half marathon: £35
- Junior 2.5k: £8
- Family mile: £8
- Toddler dash: free
All that we ask is that you raise as much as you can for Bloodwise.
When you join our team you will receive a fundraising pack and personal ongoing support. If you raise more than £50 you will receive one of our brightly coloured T-shirts to wear!
