Cycle the Grimsby Bikeathon for Bloodwise and help beat blood cancer
Join us on Sunday 12 May for the Grimsby Bikeathon, an ideal day out for cyclists and their families. This is our 21st Bikeathon and last year we had over 400 cyclists. Help us to beat that this year!
About the event
The routes start from East Ravendale and use quiet country lanes to cover one of the most interesting parts of the Lincolnshire Wolds. The magnificent post glacial landscape offers an ideal cycling experience.
Riders return year after year to enjoy the environment, the buzz and camaraderie of the event and their support for Bloodwise. Plus, at the end of the event there is a very welcome barbeque, along with other refreshments.
You have a choice of routes which include 28 miles all on-road, 15 miles and 10 miles. And, for the first time ever, we are offering a fourth route which will be partially on-road and partially off-road using briddle paths. It is 28 miles long and participants will need suitable bikes and be 18 years or over or with a responsible adult.
This is an accessible event with many children taking part. And the shorter routes should be suitable for disabled riders, although there are some hills.
The 28 mile and off road routes both start at 9.30am while the 10 and 15 mile routes start at 10.30am.
