itsu

Bloodwise is proud to be working with itsu to raise awareness and money for blood cancer research.

The partnership has got off to a strong start, with itsu stamping every one of the tickets for their delicious veggie dragon rolls with the Bloodwise logo and information. This type of awareness raising work is absolutely vital, with only 1% of people being ‘very confident’ that they can identify common symptoms of blood cancer and over half the population not knowing any symptoms at all.

And they’re not stopping there. itsu are also donating 10p from the sale of each veggie dragon roll to Bloodwise, with the money raised funding medical research to improve treatments and help us offer expert advice to anyone affected by blood cancer.

The sushi experts are on a roll with their fundraising…

On 4 July, itsu employees swapped the dragon rolls for dragon boats, as they competed in Bloodwise’s annual Dragon Boat Race down the Thames. Their two aptly-named boats - Salmon Dragon Roll and Veggie Dragon Roll – raced teams of employees from other businesses across the City and Canary Wharf including Morgan Stanley, Bloomberg and Barclays. Not only did itsu prove themselves ferocious competition on the water, but they also raised over £3,600 for blood cancer research, smashing their target! A massive well done and thank you!

“We are so excited to be working with itsu. Their support is incredibly valued by all of us at Bloodwise, and we are looking forward to working with colleagues there on this partnership" - Gemma Peters, Chief Executive of Bloodwise.

"The impact of blood cancer is so devastating; with the generous support of businesses like itsu we can fund life-changing research and provide crucial support. We are delighted to announce our partnership with Bloodwise to help them in their mission to support anyone affected by blood cancer. We feel passionately about giving something back and are proud to support the work of Bloodwise." - Jemima Ferguson, itsu Group Brand and Marketing Director
