We're always keen to hear from people who want to find out more about us - perhaps you'd like to fundraise, volunteer, or are interested in our research?

Our events are fun and rewarding, and we're always on the lookout for enthusiastic people to give a bit of their time - taking part, volunteering, or even organising their own events to help beat blood cancer. If that sounds like you, please get in touch!

We have some fantastic long-term supporters in the Midlands, groups and individuals, organising events such as the Bromsgrove Fun Run and the Grimsby Bikeathon.

You might want to get involved in one of our new Community Groups, being the local face of Blood Cancer UK in your area. Or, you might want to give some of your time to place collection tins in your local village or town.

If you would like to speak with one of our branches or groups, please let us know and we will put you right in touch with them.

Founded in 1988 to raise awareness in the local community of the importance of research into blood cancers, they have now raised over £1million! As a Branch with very personal connections to blood cancer, they work tirelessly to fundraise through quizzes, collections and curry nights. They also organise the Bromsgrove Fun Run and Forget Me Not Walk each year, which are two of our key events.

The Heart of England branch was formed in 1970, and draws supporters from across central and south Warwickshire. We have a variety of fundraising activities each year and an ongoing 100 Club, and street and store collections in the four major towns. We have raised over £600,000, and we’ve no intention of letting up! We would appreciate some fresh ideas and new supporters, so please get in touch if you’d like to join us.

Our Shropshire Branch was formed in 1975 after a number of children in the local area were diagnosed with leukaemia. They have fundraised over the years with various events, including cake stalls and tombolas. Having raised over £430,000 they have made a huge difference to those affected by blood cancer.

The South Birmingham Branch was established in 1976, the Branch has organised many fundraising events, from concerts and walks to collections and tombolas. They have raised over £550,000 and are always looking for people to help raise more.

The Burton on Trent Fundraising Group started 30 years ago and has raised over £84,000 towards blood cancer research.

The Derbyshire Fundraising Group raises vital funds through the sale of locally made chutneys and mince pies. They have a presence in their local community through a network of local collection tins. The group also organises the Golden Gates Gallop, which is one of our key regional events. Having raised over £1.5 million they have shown real dedication to beating blood cancer.

For the last 25 years Redditch & Alcester Fundraising Group has raised money in memory of the Chairman's son Simon, who died from Leukaemia when he was 5 years old. They fundraise through thrilling presentations based on the Chairman's treks through the Himalayan mountains. Having been instrumental in helping form other branches and groups, they plan to continue fundraising and raising awareness.

Since 1974, the Lincoln Branch has raised over £300k in their effort to beat blood cancer. They have plenty of fundraising activity lined up for 2020, including a dog show, a ladies golf tournament, a village gala and a ball.

The Grimsby and District Branch was formed in 1962 and has been fundraising to beat blood cancer ever since. Every year they host a range of events which includes their annual Bikeathon, Shopping Extravaganza and Golf Day and have raised over £1 million.

This year's Shopping Extravaganza event is on the 4th and 5th of October 2023 at Market Rasen Racecourse. With stalls from all over the country, it's the perfect opportunity to start your festive shopping. Wednesday evening sees canapes and access to a bar with Thursday being more casual. The Lutterworth Branch is so close to raising £1.5 million! The family, Chris Ingham (Mother) MBE, Lesley Shaw (Daughter), Ann Everett and their amazing team of over 60 volunteers work tirelessly in two independent shops that see all proceeds come to the charity. These charity shops in Lutterworth are certainly worth a visit, the amount raised by this Branch is certainly a reflection on the high-quality donated items they have in store.
