Finally made it to Paris this afternoon. Fantastic riding past Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower. Can't quite believe we actually got here. This is how it happened. What a day !

A structured training plan (in theory at least) is much like the instructions on shampoo but rather than lather/rinse/repeat it is work hard/recover/repeat. Eventually, and to continue the tortuous hair-washing analogy this cycle gives way to conditioning (at least that is what Tessa tells me) –
Conquering the mile and the Womens Tour of Britain
Sadly we didn't conquer the Womens Tour of Britain but more on that later. There has been a lot of talk recently about the 60th anniversary of Roger Bannister breaking the 4 minute mile, but for us with a long bank holiday ride we had a different mile challenge to conquer.
