Bloodwise is the biggest blood charity in the UK. As part of our work, we fund world-class research into blood cancers and related blood disorders.
In 2014-2015 alone we committed more almost £33 million to support doctors and scientists at academic institutions throughout the UK. We endorse the AMRC statement on supporting research in universities.
Since we were formed in 1960, we've invested £500 million in groundbreaking research - an investment that means we can now proudly say that UK blood cancer research is the best in the world.
Our portfolio includes long and short term research projects, career development awards and clinical trials. We now have a translational pipeline in place that covers basic biological research through to phase III clinical trials.
A full list of our current research can be found on the National Cancer Research Institute’s International Cancer Research Portfolio at cancerportfolio.org.
