On Wednesday 3rd September devoted supporter and long term committee member Mrs Shirley Fairbairn held her 16th Coffee Morning at her home in Bourne in aid of the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. On a sunny Wednesday morning Shirley opened her house and garden to friends & family. Inside and outside there were a multitude of things on offer to see and buy from a tombola, raffle and cake stall to a bring and buy sale and her daughter’s (Hilary) handmade jewellery, which sold exceptionally well. There was also a never ending supply and need for tea/coffee and biscuits!

The final total for the morning is now in excess of £400 which brings the sum which Shirley has raised over the 16 years to £5286. Spalding & Bourne Committee and everyone at Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research would like to thank Shirley for her commitment to our charity and hope she continues to hold coffee mornings for several more years to come.

What a wonderful commitment to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, both in terms of the money raised and by being so much at the heart of the community.

Thank you Shirley, thanks to you and many other people doing these wonderful things, we are helping more people than ever before.
