Feeling pleased that the first challenge is ticked off! Good to run with so many other people and friends and the rain held off too. Also pleased that we've managed to raise so much money in the first week; so good to break the £1000 mark. This will pay for sophisticated electrophoresis equipment needed to analyse important genes and proteins that help to improve treatments and fine cures for blood cancer. Thank you all so much!

Congratulations Paul! You've got to be chuffed with the time too - 63 minutes is a very respectable time even more impressive given that it's your first race. You'll only get quicker from here!!!

Seriously, top effort - you've given me the motivation to get off my butt and back out on the road. Hope you're not too sore today.

Congrats Paul. We spoke briefly at Impact Day  - and I just wanted to add a massive well done, and it's be really interesting reading your posts. I hope the post-run pains aren't that bad today?!

Thanks so much David, that's really kind. It's good to get the first challenge under my belt. The second one is now booked, a pskydive with the Parachute Regiment. Really looking forward to this one!

Hey Andy! Thanks very much, I really enjoyed it if I'm honest and would definitely do another one. I've got my second challenge organised now which is quite cool (see blog). In fact, I need to come into the office and get some tee shirts for the Paras!
