CSA Celebrity Speakers Ltd, the UK office of the leading global speaker bureau CSA, has raised over £50,000 to help the blood cancer charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
This Buckinghamshire based company provides speakers, experts and high achievers from business, politics, academia, sports and entertainment for meetings, events and conferences and put on a series of their own events and staff fundraising activities to reach their £50,000 target. Staff really entered into the spirit of fundraising to reach the fantastic total, by organising, among other things, ‘wear red’ days and sponsored lunches. National Sales Manager, Dave Daniel ran the London Marathon and one member of staff even dyed her hair red.
The finale of the company’s fundraising was an auction at the Chivas Regal Legends Dinner, in Dubai, presided over by Oscar winner Colin Firth. Bids flew in for 2 business class trips to the Cannes Film Festival, generously donated on the night, and the winner was presented with their prize by Colin Firth himself.
Sandra Krywald, Managing Director at CSA Celebrity Speakers, said: "As a company we’ve really enjoyed being part of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research’s 50th Anniversary celebrations. It’s been fantastic to see members of staff really challenge themselves to support this worthwhile charity. We’d also like to thank our clients and speakers who have so generously supported the campaign and helped us raise awareness of these devastating diseases."
Alastair Campbell, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research’s Chairman of Fundraising and a speaker for CSA Celebrity Speakers, said: "We are hugely grateful for CSA Celebrity Speakers’ support over the past year. They have helped in so many ways to make our 50th anniversary year a special one. The money they have raised will make a real difference to the lives of patients with a blood cancer."
