First Ride after signing up

Steady ride, felt good.

After signing up today, I thought there was no time like the present to go for my first official training ride.

I started out well, and seemed to improve all the way round, getting more comfortable and able to keep my cadence high throughout the ride. During the ride I was making a conscious effort to take on fluids on the move. I took out two 500ml bottles, one with water and one with 2 citrus Zero High5 tablets. These tablets contain essential Electrolytes and Magnesium which are essential in endurance events. Approximately half way through the ride I consumed a Citrus High5 Energy Gel, and a few swigs of water. This deffinitely helped me maintain the high pace, and I managed to complete 40km in just under 1hour and 17 minutes with an average speed of 31.2kmh. Rest day tomorrow, before personal training on Thursday evening.
