Fundraiser Jonathan Bradley has released an instrumental album to raise funds for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
Jonathan decided to fundraise for the charity following his daughter Jenna’s diagnosis with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) in 2011.
‘Enemy in the Blood’, the debut album by Jonathan Bradley, was released in January, and is donating its entire profits to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research to help beat blood cancer. The music was written at the time when the composer's daughter Jenna was undergoing her own leukaemia treatment.
Jonathan said: “A lot of the music is based on chemotherapy sequences used to treat ALL, which are part-translated into musical phrasing which also injects some of the typical emotive background that goes on. Since Jenna was diagnosed with ALL in August of last year, I felt greatly urged to try and take control of what control I could exert on the situation. I figured that helping to raise money was probably the best way in channelling my efforts."
Enemy in the Blood is currently available on iTunes, and you can preview and buy tracks and the album now. It is set to be released imminently on other sites including Spotify and Amazon.
Jonathan, his daughter Jenna, and family joined the charity on Beefy's Great British Walk in Newcastle in 2012, and Jonathan recently raised over £500 in a sponsored leg wax in November. Jonathan is also currently planning a fundraising cycle ride with ex-Olympic cyclist Yvonne McGregor MBE to take place in Spring 2013.
