She will be joining us in September from King’s College London and King’s Health Partners where she is Executive Director of Fundraising & Supporter Development.
Gemma has a track record of delivering outstanding results across the health, charity and education sectors. Most notably, she conceived and led the ground breaking World questions | KING’S answers campaign, which raised over £610m and changed the lives of millions of people around the world.
Welcoming the appointment, our Chair, Pelham Allen, said:
“We are delighted to be welcoming Gemma to Bloodwise. She brings huge experience and has the energy and vision we need to ensure Bloodwise increases its impact. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Diana Jupp for her hard work as acting chief executive; she has helped build a strong platform for future success and will be a critical part of the Bloodwise leadership team going forward.”
Gemma is looking forward to joining, and said:
“It is a huge privilege to be joining Bloodwise at such an important moment in its history. The next decade will be a time of rapid change in blood cancer diagnosis and treatment, revolutionising what it means to be a patient, researcher, funder, relative and survivor. I am looking forward to working alongside our expert and committed staff and incredibly loyal supporters to ensure Bloodwise plays a leading role in ending the harm blood cancer causes.”
There will be plenty of opportunities to meet her once she starts at Bloodwise, and we look forward to introducing her to our many supporters.
