A wonderful play put on by Talking Stock Productions with proceeds going to Bloodwise

This play was brought to our attention by Mark Noblet, a close friend of the play write Alan Stockdill. I attended a play on March 16th in Halifax with Mark and his wife, Alison. The play was about a gentleman, Godfrey, and his family. Godfrey, an avid cricket fan, a dedicated and loving father, grandfather and friend is diagnosed with terminal leukaemia. The play deals with relationship, life, death and of course cricket. The play follows Godfrey's lovable character to the end of his life- to his last innings. Although a lighthearted comedy, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house by the end, it was incredibly heartfelt.

I was touched by the performance and the generous welcome from the cast and production company. Thank you to Mark for setting it up and to the entire of Talking Stock Productions for their efforts in raising funds for Bloodwise and helping raise awareness around blood cancers. It was a great piece of work; powerful and honest with just the right amount of laughter.
