Leicester & Rutland veteran golf ladies raise money to beat blood cancer

The Leicester & Rutland Veteran Ladies Golf Association have generously raised £1,864.75 to help us in our continued mission to beat blood cancer. Janet Morris, President of the L&RVLGA for 2015 & 2016, chose Bloodwise as her charity over the two years, following her husband’s diagnosis with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia.

The association which includes ladies from golf clubs across Leicester & Rutland raised the money through six raffles held across the two years. Louise from our Midlands office and Bev Ashby from the Leicester & Rutland Branch joined the ladies for their AGM on Thursday 10 November, where they were presented with the cheque and gave a short talk about Bloodwise and the local Branch.

Louise says, ‘It was a pleasure to attend the AGM and lunch with all the ladies from L&RVLGA. We are so very grateful for all the support and generosity they have shown us over the last two years. I would like to say a huge thank you to Janet for choosing Bloodwise as her charity and wish her many congratulations on her successful two years as President.’
