I'm getting on my bike to raise money for a good cause

Following a break from cycling for a number of years the urge to get back in the saddle has returned as a good way of getting fit and losing some pounds. As part of my training I have entered The 2014 Birmingham Bikerthon to raise money for Leukemia research. I was torn between entering the 50 mile event or the 25 mile one and decided that the shorter distance was manageable and would provide a good starting point for developing my ability to tackle further miles as my fitness levels improve.
My old cycling kit from years ago no longer fits (too many pies...) and I have invested in new kit and helmet ready for the challenges ahead.
So, ladies and gentlemen could I ask you kindly to make a donation for my efforts towards beating blood cancer.
Thank you
Gary
