'I'm a manager get me out of here!' Completed - Frankie & Benny's
The challenge has been completed! Twenty two members of the Frankie & Benny’s team in Scotland took part in a gruelling task on the 18th & 19th of June for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research – 'I’m A Manager Get Me Out Of Here'.
They were shipwrecked on Inchconnachan Island near Loch Lomond with the only inhabitants there - wallabies!
The team canoed over to the island and were faced with busch tucker like trials including eating, survival, navigation and endurance activities. They had to set up their own camp - build a shelter, a fire to cook food and catch their own food!
All of this was done with no modern day necessities – mobile phones, showers, toilets and more importantly no way off the island!
The only way to leave the island was to build their own raft to get back across. . .
The event was an amazing success and the group have raised almost £6000 so far, with donations still coming in!
