The lead up to my bungee jump!

I set a price and its been reached, there's no going back now!

With sixteen days to go now until the bungee jump in a reluctant/proud/happy/terrified way I am pleased to have exceeded the £500 price I set to see me do the jump at our event on 12th July with all that money helping to beat blood cancers. It is a great amount and it will do great things but I would be lying if I didn't say that I am somewhat apprehensive about the jump...

This morning we had a meeting with the bungee company and the Winterton Playing Fields Association who run Winterton Community Pavilion where the event will be taking place. I guess that really made it sink in that it was happening when we were discussing the logistics of the day, where the crane will go, where the jumpers will land - a little daunting to say the least. However I set a price and its been reached, there's no going back now and to top the whole thing off I am going first at 10.00am! On the one hand I'm pleased as I won't be sat thinking about it all day after a sleepless night, but on the other there's always that fear of being the first one!

I'm so grateful to everyone that has been kind and mean enough to sponsor me as they want to see me fall from 175ft with nothing but rope strapped to my feet - perhaps I should be asking a few questions there but it’s probably best I don't! I knew that I wouldn't possibly be able to get away with not doing the jump again - I certainly won't be at the top of the crane smiling as much as I am in the photo above whilst taking some great scenic photos of Winterton as I did last year - so preparing myself in advance and using it as an opportunity to raise a great amount for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research seemed like the only way it could be done. I know that the moment I touch down on the ground will be a great moment of relief initially but also pride in how much I've managed to raise so thank you everyone who has given their hard earned cash to help us beat blood cancers and of course push ever closer to that magical £50K!

Great blog Danny. I did a skydive earlier this year and surprised myself at how easy it was. I think you'll take the jump in your stride and probably be up there doing a second one the very same day! All the best, Jason.

Thanks Yvonne went well waiting on results still! It's the only cause I'd be daft enough to do it for!

Thanks Jason I hope you're right. Is there an email address I can get you on mate I want to tap you up on the timelines we discussed at impact day for our £50k celebration evening.
