'The Bigger Picture' in Nottingham is an exciting new event where everyone from the researchers to the volunteers get together to meet and discuss how we can beat blood cancer together, celebrate the progress so far and about what research we are funding for the future of all blood cancer patients and survivors.
We will be talking during the evening about our own personal experience of blood cancer when our beautiful 24 month old son, Joe, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in January 2010, how far he has come and how much he has overcame. Joe finished his treatment for high risk ALL in June this year and is doing remarkably well despite all he has been through, his strength and courage will always continue to amaze us. Research has developed the treatment protocol that saw our son survive and here with us today and it is research that will one day find a cure for blood cancer.
We are very much looking forward to meeting with the researchers and hearing about their hard work and efforts regarding the future. We are also looking forward to meeting with our fellow volunteers and fundraisers who make all this possible, and of course, the fighters, survivors and families of the taken who all have our utmost admiration so that we can all share our experiences and plan together for a blood cancer free future ahead of us.
TOGETHER WE WILL BEAT BLOOD CANCER
