Large Granular Lymphocyte Leukaemia (LGLL) patients and carers are invited to a meeting at the University of Birmingham, Edgbaston, on Friday 14th November, from 10am to 2pm. The meeting will take place in the Learning Centre and lunch will be provided.

The purpose of the meeting, which has been organised by patients and is supported by Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research (LLR), is to discuss the possibility of setting up a registry for patients in the UK with LGLL and setting up support for UK LGLL patients and carers.

Professor Paul Moss, Consultant Haematologist and Head of the School of Cancer Sciences at the University of Birmingham, will talk with the group about LGLL disorders; a representative from LLR will speak about patient support and assistance they may be able to offer; and Dr Ian Litchfield, a Health and Population Sciences researcher, will talk about patient involvement in research.

Thanks so much for organising this Louise - I think this is a wonderful idea and will be of huge benefit to patients and their family members. Hammersmith are running a similar group for CML events actually which I'm hoping to attend. Keep up the good work and thank you for inviting the charity a long to talk about the support and assistance that we can offer. Together we will beat blood cancer!
