We’re delighted to say the fabulous team at Martial Art Concepts have chosen Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research as their charity partner for 2015. Based across three martial art academies in the West Midlands (Dudley, Halesowen and Stourbridge) the company teaches multiple disciplines including kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai and Jeet Kune Do, a specialism of martial art great, Bruce Lee.

Over the next year, the team of instructors and their students are planning multiple fundraising activities to raise money, including 12 instructors taking on the Warwickshire Wolf Run on 12th April, fitness competitions between the academies, a movie day for the junior students and selling Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research wrist bands to name a few.

Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research was nominated for charity of the year by instructor Lesley Jones who previously worked on the research team funded by the charity at Sandwell and City Hospital. She says: ‘I know what a fantastic job the charity does and I also have a friend who is in her 20th year of remission. We hope to raise as much money as we can through the various fundraising we have planned throughout the year’.
