Mathew was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) in July 2006, aged just three. Happily, he completed his treatment in 2009, thanks in no small part to his identical twin, Alex, who was a constant source of support. Alex went along to the photo shoot with Matthew and both boys are now wearing their pyjamas at every available opportunity to support the campaign.

Mum Gillian, says: “They had a great time, and after all the attention they’re proper little divas.

They play in the pyjamas, sleep in them and even want to go outside side in them! Matthew’s treatment is becoming a distant memory for them both which is a huge relief – it’s very much back to normal.

“The campaign is a fantastic idea. Everybody has to buy their children nightwear so there’s no excuse for people not to get involved. We’ve seen first hand what the children go through and met some of those who sadly weren’t as lucky as Matthew. Anything we can do to improve treatments is so important.”
