Well today I went out on a 34 mile training ride to Walton on Thames (another speed limit broken-35 in a 30). On the way I took a pit stop at the ice cream van on Hampton Court Bridge. During this stop, a really beautiful woman cyclist came up and asked me if I was doing the ride on the 31st (I was wearing one of my llr cycling tops today) she did tell me her name and I cannot remember exactly what it was but it sounded something like Shakara. Turns out she is doing the 52 miler too. We had a lovely chat about the day and the charity before we rode off in different directions.
My training is going really well with over 133 miles clocked up since my last post on here.
During this week, I have been working on my llr fundraiser night next friday 22nd August at Selhurst Railway Club.
Yesterday I spent the afternnoon with others at LLR towers discussing the possibilty of rebranding the charity, so this week has been mainly doing things for and on behalf of this wonderful charity whose research means that i and countless other blood cancer survivours are here to tell the tale. This charity is truly wonderful and I'm so proud to be a part of it. I wouldnt have it any other way.
