So on Saturday 26th April I along with my wife went to London to the Leukaemia & Lymphoma research Impact Day 2014.

WOW, what a really Informative, interesting, fun and eye opening day! So glad I went along to listen to what the future holds for LLR, and the future looks FANTASTIC and for patients over the coming years its looking like - a big thumbs up!

I had a chat with a lovely lady Reta Brownlow (we need to chat about May!) she is head of patient services. There was a speech from a patient Kris Griffin, a VERY inspirational, moving and funny guy who gave us a real life insight to what LLR are striving to put right for everyone who is suffering from blood cancer, whichever type that may be.

Yesterday made me realise even more how lucky we all are to have such amazing charities the work the cost the passion and dedication of these very clever, intelligent, scientists, professors, Doctors and in there own words "GEEKS" it truley is breathtaking. So thats it I would just like to give a personal  thank you to everyone involved in yesterdays impact day and the proof LLR are Beating Blood Cancer.

Thank you so much for coming Paul and for blogging about it! It's great for us to know that you enjoyed the day and found it interesting.

I believe the team will be sending out a survey to everyone so it would be great if you could have a think about what you liked about the day, what you would have liked to see more of, and fill it in to help us when we're planning next year's event!

Great to hear that you had such a good time, Paul. As you say, listening to the passion and dedication of the researchers and hearing and seeing Kris looking so well on that stage was hugely inspirational and actually got me feeling a bit emotional! I am a blood cancer survivor myself and I am so, so proud to be working for the charity and being a part of the fight to beat blood cancer. Hearing about the possibilities that lie ahead has got me really excited and more determined than ever! Keep blogging and thanks so much for all your support - it's great to hear from someone who's doing so well.
