Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research have met with patients, their families and health professionals all over the country and listened to what they have told us; and as a result we are in the process of rewriting our patient information booklets.

Our new CLL booklet was launched earlier this week and can be downloaded or ordered online.

It has been written in a warmer tone with more illustrations making it easier to understand. New sections have been added and where clinical content has been updated this has been based on recently published national guidelines on CLL.

We have also included useful information on other organisations and questions that may be helpful to ask at hospital appointments.

In the pipeline is a booklet for patients who have been newly diagnosed with a blood cancer and this will be available in the next few months.

We are always looking for people to review and give feedback on our publications at draft stage. If you are interested in getting involved please email us at patientinfo@beatingbloodcancers.org.uk

I was diagnosed with CLL in January 2005 ( aged 55) and after 3 separate courses of chemotherapy, began a period of remission 30 months ago, which I am still enjoying at the moment. I was recently in hospital following a period when my neutrophils were zero. I would be interested in giving feedback on publications at draft stage if you are interested.
