We are so excited to announce the launch of a brand new support to Patient Services and across Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research as a whole – introducing our brand new Nurses Advisory Panel.

We are building an engaged, diverse, dynamic group to include nurses from all around the UK and who work across all the different types of blood cancers.  This group will hugely enhance what we do and how we do it by providing their expert advice, information and support to us in various ways, including:

• Reviewing and contributing to the re-write of our suite of patient information

• Supporting and informing our advice to patients, their friends, families and carers

• Working alongside us to map provision and support our research as part of LLR’s ongoing Prioritising Patient Need program

• Raising public awareness of LLR amongst patients and local communities

We want to create something truly special and long lasting, where we can learn and benefit as well as offering support and learning opportunities in return. We will be developing ways to facilitate networking both digitally and face to face, to bring nurses from around the UK together to share best practice, learn from one another and make new connections. We’ll be evolving over time, responding to new needs from our Nurses Advisory Panel and ensuring that what we offer is valuable, tangible, and always allowing us to keep the patient at the heart of everything we do.

This is absolutely fantastic news, Victoria - thanks for the  update! I think that this will be so beneficial in so many ways and will really help ensure that we are putting the needs and views of patients and health-care professionals on the front line first which can only be a good thing.

Keep up the good work!
