Join the Nurses Network for the opportunity to connect with haemato-oncology nurses across the UK to share best practice, ask questions and find support.

What is the Nurses Network?

The Bloodwise Nurses Network is a nurse-led UK-wide group which supports nurses working in haemato-oncology to improve patient experience and to better support each other.

Haemato-oncology is a complex and constantly changing field, and we know that the experience blood cancer patients have in hospital is inextricably linked to the nursing care they receive. We also know how important it is for haemato-oncology nurses to be able to communicate with one another effectively in order to share learning and best practice, and to work together to improve both the nursing and the patient experience.

Therefore, the Nurses Network has been created to help facilitate these working relationships and to help create opportunities for nurses to become actively involved in helping Bloodwise to improve the support available for those affected by blood cancer.

What does the Network aim to do?

  • Facilitate space for conversation, networking and sharing of best practice, whether online or in person
  • Gain an understanding of issues faced by nurses treating haemato-oncology patients and initiate effective solutions
  • Provide opportunities to shape and influence the work we do, and contribute expertise and experience to projects that will provide real benefit to patients and the clinical community

What will the Nurses Network mean for you?

  • Regular updates on new Bloodwise research, information resources, support resources and services for patients
  • You’ll be the first to know about conferences and events we are hosting for patients, carers and healthcare professionals
  • Access to our new online e-learning education resource for ward nurses and new starters in haemato-oncology on basic haemato-oncology understanding
  • Input into programmes we’re developing for nurses and for volunteers
  • Membership to the private Bloodwise Haemto-oncology Nurses Facebook Group
  • Opportunities to engage and network with colleagues from hospitals across the UK
  • Opportunities to help shape our patient information, and to get involved in many areas of our work improving the lives of blood cancer patients and carers across the UK
