Just come in from a ride over to Kenilworth and back via Berkswell. Very pretty, quite quiet and there's a lot of interest on this route. The obvious stuff like Packwood House, Baddesley Clinton and of course Kenilworth Castle itself but also some places that don't shout about their heritage so much such as the former 11th century Benedictine Priory at Wroxall and RAF Honiley which was once home to fighter squadrons and latterly, a planned F1 team base. There are also a couple of beautiful old windmills and at least four ford crossings on the route as well as some cracking pubs. The Brooks saddle seems to be well up to the job, no complaints and it's seen just shy of 80 miles in the last 2 days....more to come no doubt.
