It’s that time of year again: all across the South East during September we’re going to be organising collections for everyone affected by blood cancer.

Our collections will coincide with Blood Cancer Awareness Month and the launch of our new name, new look, new website and our blood cancer awareness campaign - the biggest one in the UK, ever! We’d love you to join us in your local area.

Here are the collections we’ve got booked:

Street collections:

• Brighton – 5th September
• Cambridge – 5th September
• Reading – 5th September
• Maidenhead – 5th September
• Tunbridge Wells – 5th September
• Crawley – 12th September
• Hoddesdon – 12th September
• Reigate – 12th September
• Milton Keynes – 12th September
• Guildford – 13th September
• Ipswich – 26th September
• Norwich – 26th September

Train/tube stations:

• Waterloo station – 3rd September
• Holborn station – 17th September

20p challenge:

This is a game ideal for pubs and cafes. Customers are challenged to balance a 20p on top of a lemon which is in a bowl of water. If successful, they receive a free coffee/pint. If unsuccessful, no matter, all fallen 20ps are brought back to us! We need volunteers to help bring this idea to their local pubs and cafes. See an example here.

Skydive:

For all those dare devils amongst you we’re also having 2 skydiving days, in Peterborough and Norwich. Why not face your fears and jump from 10,000 feet?! Go to our website to find out more.

We’d love you to get involved. Your help will mean so much to everyone going through this awful disease.

For more information or to sign up for any of these activities just get in touch with your local Regional team: southeast@beatingbloodcancers.org.uk.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Are you ready to wave the Bloodwise flag?
